Our Purpose
Plain and simple, the purpose of the Edward Douglas White Catholic High School Band Boosters Club is to support the band financially and spiritually. You will find under the History section of this page the original purpose of the band boosters. We are here to support the band director and the children that are in the band. It takes a lot of money to run the Cardinal Vanguard, and the boosters club is responsible for raising the money that it takes to help to make this band successful. Spiritually, we are always there for them, and our prayers are constantly with the band members, the band director and his staff.

Concessions (Michele Benoit, Sabra Robichaux) - This committee organizes the sale of all concessions at the Varsity and Junior Varsity football games. This group needs a lot of help. See below how you can let us know if you would like to help.
Car Wash (Beryl LeBoeuf, Sabra Robichaux, Norma Bilello) The car wash held in July was a complete success!! Look here for dates for the next car wash.
Dinner (Beryl LeBoeuf, Greg/Sabra Robichaux) The tentative date for the next dinner will be announced soon.
Maintenance (Eric Zeringue) - From building shelves to painting to fixing anything and everything, this committee does it all.
Phone (Sara Day Foret) - You will get called!! This committee is responsible for communications by phone.
Pizza Committee (Chris Robichaux, Norma Bilello) - This is a very successful committee that sells pizza in the student union at lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Help is needed here!
Publicity (Scott Hoffmann) - This committee is responsible for getting the word out on all of the positive activities and accomplishments of the Vanguard.
Spirit (Ginger Verdin/Sabra Robichaux) - This committee is responsible for raising everyone's spirits. See the Spirit! section below.
Transportation (Larry "Bubba" Ledet) - This committee is responsible for getting the Vanguard where it needs to go. From the football games to the festivals, the transportation committee gets us there.

History
The band boosters club was officially started as a non-profit corporation on January 26, 1967 when the articles of incorporation were signed by Guy G. Gautreaux, Clarice Hengens Gautreaux, Richard F. Lasseigne and Phil O. Ayo, Jr. The official name of the organization at that time was "The Thibodaux Catholic Band Boosters."
The purpose of the organization as taken from the Articles of Incorporation was as follows:
The name of the organization was officially changed to its present name, "The Edward Douglas White Catholic High School Band Boosters Club" on December 1, 1972 when President Jerry P. Ledet, Sr. signed the charter amendment.
Literally thousands of parents have been involved in this great organization that supports the Cardinal Vanguard both spiritually and financially.
The purpose of the organization as taken from the Articles of Incorporation was as follows:

The purpose and objects of this corporation shall be to stimulate and maintain an enthusiastic interest in, and to promote various phases of, the instrumental music programs in the several private Catholic Schools in the Thibodaux area; to lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to the general instrumental music programs of these schools; to promote better understanding and friendship between music students and the members of this organization to the end that the musical departments shall maintain the highest possible degree of efficiency; to build and maintain an organization of parents which will help promote the genral activities of the instrumental music departments of these schools and to cooperate with those in charge of these instrumental music departments.
